It is safe to say that Conor McGregor is not the most-active fighter in UFC since 2016. The Irish superstar ever since becoming champ-champ has spent very little time inside the octagon. In the last 5 years, McGregor has fought only 4 times and has faced defeat in three of them. His first fight after his legendary boxing match against Floyd Mayweather was against Khabib Nurmagomedov where he faced a devastating defeat.

2 years later, against the veteran Donald Cerrone, McGregor managed to put on a masterclass and earn his victory to bounce back from the loss. However, 2021 was a tough year for the fighter as he faced two back-to-back losses against Dustin Poirier. At UFC 257, McGregor lost the fight via a second-round TKO and his third bout at UFC 264 did not get any better. The Irishman broke his foot and faced defeat via TKO due to injuries.

McGregor is not likely to return to the 155-pound division given his recent gain in size. The fighter is jacked and looks like a middleweighter. The first quarter of 2023 seems to be the perfect timeline to make a comeback according to the Irishman. However, all the updates about his return have been only from his side while the UFC boss, Dana White has still not fitted the PPV star into the picture for 2023 plans.
