Recently, Sean Strickland was present at the Nitrocross event, as he made an unusual request to the UFC. The UFC middleweight champion wanted to take one of the cars for a spin and Nina Marie Danielle was ready to film it all.

Sean Strickland was seen at Nitrocross SoCal, scoping out for his race scheduled in March. He also participated in a demo ride as a passenger. Strickland was visibly excited about the experience. Speaking to Nina Marie Daniele, Strickland said:

You know here's the thing about dying. I don't really care if I die I just don't wanna be paralyzed.

Nitrocross, formerly known as Nitro Rallycross, is an American rallycross racing series. The series combines short-form competition with the thrill of action sports, featuring purpose-built vehicles. Conceived in 2018, Nitrocross takes inspiration from motocross and integrates elements of action sports into its racing format.

Former UFC fighter and Hall of Famer Donald Cerrone was also present at the event. He offered to give Strickland a ride and guide him around. UFC fighters do not need to seek permission for routine actions, but they operate within the framework of regulations and contractual agreements.

Strickland was immediately on the phone with UFC, seeking permission to ride at Nitrocross. He will race in Las Vegas in 2024 as a part of the buggy class.

Colby Covington speaks on potentially fighting Sean Strickland

Colby Covington‘s upcoming fight is scheduled for UFC 296 against Leon Edwards. The event will take place this December at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Covington previously defeated Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. The fight against Leon Edwards will be a significant matchup in the welterweight division.

Covington has been actively promoting the fight on his X account, indicating his anticipation for the upcoming bout.

Colby Covington expressed a desire to confront Sean Strickland after winning the UFC 296 title. Covington stated that Strickland is pretending to be everything he wishes Covington was. Speaking to CODE Sports, Covington said:

He’s pretending to be everything he wishes I was. I’d love to slap Sean Strickland around. He’s just a pathetic excuse of a human being, the guy has literally no fricking IQ. The guy’s so f****** st*pid.
