Two of the most entertaining fighters, Niko Price and Alex Oliveira will clash in a UFC Fight Night event on October 2nd.
It won’t be a reach to say that the fight of Niko Price and Alex Oliveira will end in a finish. The two fighters are one of the most entertaining fighters in the welterweight division. The event on October 2nd, UFC Fight Night 192 (for those who are keeping count) will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card streams live on ESPN+. The first report of this matchup was made by MMA Junkie. UFC is yet to make an official announcement about the fight.
Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira is coming off two straight defeats against Randy Brown and Shavkat Rakhmonov. Alex’s fight in October will be the second fight of the year 2021. He lost to Randy via submission in the very first round at UFC 261. His loss against Shavkat also was from a submission in the first round. His last win was against Peter Sobotta at UFC Fight Night 174.
Niko Price is desperately in need of a win
Niko is coming off two consecutive losses against Michael Pereira and Vicente Luque in his previous bouts. In between the two losses he has a majority draw against Donald Cerrone. The fight was overturned after Price was tested positive for marijuana metabolites. The fighter desperately needs to get back on the win column given he has suffered a lot in recent times, be it inside the octagon or the price he had to pay for testing positive outside the octagon.
Niko has a record of 14-5-0 with 2 ‘No Contest’ bouts in his professional career. His last win comes against James Vick at UFC Fight Night 161. Niko Price and Alex Oliveira will be part of the card headlined by light heavyweight fighters Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker. The card also features the entertaining Kevin Holland against Kyle Daukas.
