The feud between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling is never-ending. The two bantamweight champions go at each other once again.

A rematch that is long due. Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling have been wanting to fight each other in a title rematch for a long time since their first meeting. Petr’s illegal knee gave Sterling his bantamweight belt and things in the division have not been the same. Yan went on to become the interim bantamweight champion and is now scheduled to fight his bitter rival in a title unifier.

Petr and Sterling were finally booked to fight at UFC 272 in March but recent reports have revealed that the bantamweight title unifier bout has been postponed to the next PPV event at UFC 273 in April. Sterling was the first to drop hints about this news in his recent podcast where he claimed that the fight was postponed since the Russian had not been vaccinated.

Petr was fuming after this news was reported as such and slammed the champion for spreading a false narrative. “Pathetic liar desperately trying to look good and control the narrative but it won’t work. I’m vaccinated and ready to bash you anywhere even tomorrow. UFC simply doesn’t want fake champion to headline the event,” wrote Yan.

Sterling however responded to Yan calling him a liar and said, “Lmao I’m only repeating what I was told from the bosses. Don’t get your potato tits in a twist! I’d happily f**k you up tomorrow too. That can easily be arranged.”

Aljamain wants to fight at UFC 272 and asks if TJ Dillashaw is open to fighting. UFC 272 just got a new headliner for their event as Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington agreed to fight each other in what is going to be one of the biggest grudge fights. Sterling doesn’t mind fighting in the undercard though. “I wonder if Needleshaw would be ready for March 5th?…”

Yan says that the reason the fight has been postponed is that the UFC could not find a replacement fighter in case one of them pulls out from the fight. “Actually we were told that the fight was moved to April 9 so they could have a backup ready when you pull out again bitch,” he wrote.
