Jon Jones could very well be the best villain in the UFC. He was a fan favourite for the longest time and turned into a supervillain during his feud with Daniel Cormier. His villain arc took a new form during a press event to promote their fight. And since then, Jones’ life outside the Octagon has been pretty controversial as well.

The funniest aspect of his supervillain gig was when he put on a fake British accent in an interview with Luke Thomas. It was “pure insanity” as Luke Thomas was confused the entire time in the interview but played along to continue the interview. Jones continued to use this accent throughout the video, and when Thomas asked him whether he would use the same accent for his post-fight interview, Jones replied yes.

Jones has come a long way from UFC 135 and now is set to take on Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title after Francis Ngannou left the UFC. This will be Jones’s debut as a Heavyweight, and he looks to conquer the division just like he dominated the light heavyweight Division. It remains to be seen if he will pull similar antics during the fight week of UFC 285.

After the video of Jones using a fake British accent resurfaced, Luke Thomas took to Twitter to clarify what happened. Most fans think it was fake, but Thomas has proved it was Jones and not anyone else.

The same day of the interview, Luke Thomas interviewed Jon Jones in person, and Jones explained why he used a fake British accent during their interview. Jones admitted that he and not anyone else did the interview, as Thomas suspected that it could have been Dan Hardy.

The UFC 285 card also features the Women’s Flyweight Title Fight, with Valentina Shevchenko taking on Alexa Grasso. It also features the UFC debut of College Wrestling Phenom Bo Nickal, who looks to take the Middleweight division by storm.
