“Quit coaching just like fighting” – Petr Yan is not impressed by Henry Cejudo’s training

UFC 270 featured the flyweight championship bout between champion Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo and it was an incredible fight, to say the least between two elite artists.
However, it was Figueiredo who came out on top of the judges’ scorecard with a 48-47 unanimous decision win as he retained the title. It was a very close fight and no one could keep their eyes off the 25-minute bout.
Fans and fighters alike flooded Twitter sharing their views on what an absolutely brilliant and enthralling fight they witnessed and are now hoping that a fourth fight goes down.
There was but one man who wasn’t pleased with what he had seen and had taken a dig at one of the coaches in Figueiredo’s corner.
“Not impressed, I think @HenryCejudo need to quit coaching just like he quit fighting“, tweeted Petr Yan.
Figueiredo had decided to take the opportunity to bring Henry Cejudo into his corner in his fight to retain the belt so he traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to train in Cejudo’s Fight Ready gym and it worked as planned.
‘No Mercy’, however, didn’t feel that Figueiredo‘s win was convincing enough and took a shot at ‘Triple C’ and this isn’t the first time Yan called out Cejudo as just recently Cejudo said that, “I will literally drown his ass with my wrestling.”
Yan came out with a meme and posted it on Twitter saying, “While I’m actually fighting this two old ladies [T. J. Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo] been talking too much. You know where to find me when you will have the courage to back it up“.
Henry Cejudo says he can beat Petr Yan who then hits back at the former champ
Henry Cejudo had been up until recently calling out the UFC to let him step in for the injured Max Holloway to take on Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title, but he was swiftly rebutted by UFC President Dana White.
Speaking in an interview with MMA Junkie he expressed his interest in fighting interim bantamweight champion Petr Yan.
“I would love to go to Russia and fight Petr Yan, that ugly potato in Russia, holding up a Russian flag this time and beating his ass in front of his own countrymen,” Cejudo told MMA Junkie Radio. “Yes, I will take that dude down. Yeah, he’s a great striker. I could tell you that. When I talk about position, composure, and distance, Petr Yan is really good at it, but I’m too much of a competitor. I’m too smart for this dude. I will take him down, and I will literally drown his ass with my wrestling.”
Yan hit back at the former two-division UFC champion on Twitter saying, “While I’m actually fighting this two old ladies [T. J. Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo] been talking too much. You know where to find me when you will have the courage to back it up“.
Yan hinted at both the fighters being washed up and the reason he called out T. J. Dillashaw too is that the former two-time bantamweight champion had also said that the Russian would be an easy fight.
