UFC lightweight contender, Michael Chandler has achieved great success in his previous MMA organization Bellator MMA. He was a three-time lightweight champion of the world. He won his first fight in the UFC organization against Dan Hooker after knocking him out in spectacular fashion. Since then he has suffered defeats against Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje.
His former boss Scott Cooker believes his former fighter can go on to win the UFC title. In an interview with The Schmo, he stated, ”Go get that belt.” Michael Chandler takes on Tony Ferguson. Defeating Tony Ferguson will be no small feat as he has been at the top of the lightweight division for many years. Will Michael Chandler defeat Tony and go on to claim the lightweight throne it remains to be seen.

Famous UFC manager Ali Abdelaziz said he will be rooting for Tony Ferguson. Ali has one of the biggest clientele with the likes of Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, and Islam Makhachev signed with him. He said, “Good luck on your next fight Tony, I’m rooting for you, best of luck.”
Tony Ferguson is set to lock horns with Chandler at UFC 274. Currently Tony is on a three-fight losing streak. He lost his interim title to Justin Gaethje, then went on and lost to Charles Oliveira, and extended his streak after a unanimous decision loss to Dariush. Before this Tony was on a 12-fight winning streak.
His last win came against Kevin Lee for the interim title decider. Tony Ferguson has been a fan favorite since the start given his weird fighting style. Will he be able to deal with Chandler’s explosiveness and wrestling-heavy style remains to be seen at the UFC 274.
