Sean Strickland names his ideal matchups
UFC’s middleweight rising star Sean Strickland is down to fight soon but he has his picks for the next opponents.
The middleweight fighter Sean Strickland has been putting up some amazing numbers in recent years in UFC. The “Tarzan” is currently on a five-fight winning streak and is looking to climb up the rankings by fighting one of the top-five middleweights. The fighter is coming off a unanimous decision victory against UFC legend Uriah Hall.
Strickland has a record of 24-3-0 in his professional MMA career. The fighter was originally scheduled to fight against former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 268 at the Madison Square Garden. The fight got called off due to an unfortunate injury for Rockhold. Now that the fighter is looking for a fight, Darren Till said he would be interested to fight the Tarzan.
But things don’t seem to be working out for the Liverpool fighter as Sean has confirmed he won’t be fighting the likes Till for his next fight. “Instagram blocked me, joked about a pedophile dying and I guess they didn’t like it lol!!!! Anyways I’m not fighting Darren Till,” said Sean in his recent tweet in the most bizarre way possible.
Sean Strickland wants Paulo Costa or Jack Hermansson
Strickland continued his tweet by saying, “I want Costa and if Costa can’t put down the wine and cookies, I want Jack.” Looks like Sean is looking to get the big fights and find his way to the title shot. Paulo Costa, whom he called out is on a two-fight skid. The Brazilian is coming off back-to-back losses against Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori.
After seeing Sean’s call-out, top-ranked middleweight, Jack Hermansson replied saying, “I’m on the same page. Costa or you.” Hermansson also happens to want Strickland or Costa. The chances of a Strickland vs Hermansson fight are now very high.
Hermansson has a record of 22-6-0 in his entire professional MMA career. The fighter is coming off a win against Edmen Shahbazyan and is looking to make it to a title shot in the shortest route. Do you think Hermansson is a good matchup for Strickland?
