Conor McGregor can be a flummox personality. Anthony Smith an active UFC LHW fighter and behind the scene commentator decodes McGregor’s mindset. Smith on the desk has to say what he sees and sometimes fighters get exasperated by it. McGregor has been upset with Smith in the past and when asked if McGregor is still upset with him Smith said, “Is he? I don’t know I think Conor likes me and at the very least Conor respects me and me, I respect him as well.“
“I respect what he’s done in the sport, he’s changed it, he’s done a lot in this sport to really change the landscape of it but I do also believe that Conor respects people who will call him on his bullshit or just call it for what it really is. My job is essentially to promote Conor when he fights and I am fine doing that.
“But after the fight, my job is also to talk about what happened and be very honest clear, and concise about it so if you don’t like that I am okay with it because I stand behind my analysis. I stand behind it because I’ve been in this significantly longer than Conor has, obviously not at the highest level but I’ve earned the right to have an opinion on this sport, and some guys like that and some guys don’t but I think Conor respects me.”
Smith added,” I’ve never attacked him personally, I’ve never attacked his personality or the things that he’s done. There are things that he’s done that I haven’t liked and if I’m asked about it, how do I feel about it I’ll say I am not a big fan of it but I’ve never attacked him but I think he would deal with that stuff better than critiquing his fighting though and that’s how a lot of guys are. Conor is probably more offended by me criticizing his performances than if I was to say something about him personally so that’s what it comes down to.
Smith stated that fighters are sensitive over small things. He said, “Fighters are sensitive and I’m not any different. I’m just as sensitive as most of those guys and girls are. So I understand it but it doesn’t change the fact that I do have a job to do“

Conor McGregor can have beef with anyone even if they are an LHW or a retired fighter. Anthony Smith found that out when McGregor went after him for criticizing his performance. McGregor’s fans are believed to be one the most loyal of the fan base but it does not look good when they try to defend the fighter by burying his opponent. Smith has shared his thought on McGregor’s Twitter rants.
Conor McGregor usually deletes the tweet when he goes after someone but his fans pick on to his agenda and harass the mentioned fighter. Smith has been the victim of these tweets on several occasions. Smith has a good reason as to why McGregor does it.
Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar the sport has ever seen but he really sticks up to his nickname “The Notorious”. Fans would like him to get involved in fights inside the octagon and not outside or on Twitter.
