Daniel Cormier talks about Justin Gaethje vs Charles Oliveira
Daniel Cormier believes Justin Gaethje won’t’ be a favorite to win the title fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 274.
The lightweight division will witness one of the greatest matchups of all time as Justin Gaethje takes on the champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 274. This will be the second title defense for “Do Bronx” and Gaethje will look to become the lightweight champion. This fight against Oliveira won’t be the first time Justin has taken a shot at the lightweight belt. The fighter has previously fought former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and failed to beat the champion.
Ahead of this interesting bout, former champion and now an analyst for ESPN, Daniel Cormier previews this fight. DC believes Oliveira will be a favorite to win this fight and Justin will have a tough time deciding how to approach this title fight. According to DC, there isn’t an area of fighting that Oliveira is really weak at which could cause problems for Gaethje.

DC says Justin Gaethje has the wrestling advantage over Charles Oliveira
“Justin has the ultimate equalizer. He can knock anybody out. He’s got great leg kicks. He’s got all-American wrestling but he never uses it. But when you look at skill for skill, you feel like Charles Oliveira is the guy who has more tools at his disposal,” said DC in his show on ESPN.
“Now, Justin does have the wrestling advantage but who wants to grapple with Charles Oliveira? This is the greatest submission specialist ever in history. You have to really pick your poison when it comes to the approach you are taking against ‘Do Bronx’.” Charles has the most submission in the history of the UFC. He also has the most finishes in the UFC with 18 out of his 20 wins coming from finishes.
Gaethje is coming off an amazing win against former title contender Michael Chandler at UFC 268. Meanwhile, Oliveira is making his second title defense as a champion. He beat Michael Chandler at UFC 262 to become the champ and went on to submit Dustin Poirier at UFC 269. Do you think Justin can beat the unstoppable Oliveira?
