No one can tell for sure what exactly The Rock is cooking. However, it was recently noticed that some AI-generated articles ought to confirm The Great One’s status to appear at this year’s Survivor Series. But a report from Fightful has shot it down. The trusted news outlet is reporting that no one within WWE has heard anything about Dwayne Johnson being scheduled for the late-November PLE.

‘The Final Boss’ last showed up on WWE programming at the Elimination Chamber in Toronto to orchestrate John Cena‘s heel turn. After that, the member of TKO’s Board of Directors skipped WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas amid rumors of his potential fallout with Triple H stemming from creative disagreement.

Paul Heyman revealed in an interview with Ariel Helwani that the company had to drop whatever they had planned for The Rock’s aide, Travis Scott, and move forward without the rapper’s involvement. When asked about what exactly transpired between The Rock and WWE, the ‘Wiseman’ didn’t add much and claimed that it would be better to have ‘The Final Boss’ tell his side of the story.

A couple of days after inciting the wrath of the WWE Universe with his WrestleMania no-show, ‘The Brahma Bull’ explained why he did so on Pat McAfee‘s show. Since it was Cena’s last Mania he competed in, Johnson didn’t want to take the spotlight away from him by getting involved in the finish of his bout against Cody Rhodes.

John Cena’s father drags The Rock for not following up on his son’s heel turn

The villainous arc of John Cena that was basically hinged on The Rock‘s presence ended up being a massive failure once the ‘Final Boss’ abruptly opted out of the storyline. Cena’s father recently chatted with Dr. Chris Featherstone and proffered his two cents on Rock not following up on what he started at the Elimination Chamber.

Cena Sr. explained how the entire fuss around Rock demanding Cody Rhodes’ soul never got to a conclusion because The People’s Champion had to leave to resume filming movies. Cena’s dad said, with all due respect to Rock, that he shouldn’t have started what he couldn’t finish, and if he knew he wouldn’t be around to continue the storyline, Rock shouldn’t have started it at all.

The fans have grown dissatisfied with the Jumanji actor to a point where they don’t want to ever see him return to WWE for a major angle that he can’t commit to wholeheartedly. There’s no word on whether he’d wrestle again with the influx of Hollywood projects he’s getting. His last match came at last year’s WrestleMania, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to beat the duo of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

The Rock recently revealed a near-unrecognizable look at the Venice Film Festival

Earlier this month, the real-life Dwayne Johnson dropped some jaws by unveiling his brand-new look at the premiere of his Mark Kerr biopic, The Smashing Machine, at the Venice Film Festival. He had evidently shed a lot of weight to get lean, and it made the rounds on the internet.

Johnson, accompanied by Emily Blunt, received an almost 15-minute standing ovation at the aforementioned film festival for his raved-about performance in the movie.

It made him emotional, and rightfully so. After an overwhelming response to The Smashing Machine, the 53-year-old has given himself a great shot at winning an Oscar. But there’s no rest for the weary. He’s also been cast for Martin Scorsese‘s unnamed crime thriller set in Hawaii. Back in March, it was revealed that the movie would be distributed by Disney’s 20th Century Studios.

The star cast also includes Rock’s Smashing Machine partner Emily Blunt and Leonardo DiCaprio. The weight of making it an unrestrained success would keep Johnson away from professional wrestling for another year or so. Even though there are rumors of the Saudi Arabian officials pushing for him to compete in their country’s WrestleMania debut in 2027, it’s not certain by any stretch.
