A few days ago, it began circulating in a few circles on social media that Roman Reigns was asked by TKO officials to have his contract restructured. The claim was made on the Last Word podcast, where Jonathan Coachman and Tommy Carlucci were having this conversation. It was alleged that the parent company of WWE had come up with a pay cut for The Tribal Chief.

For the unversed, Reigns’ base salary is $5 million a year, which balloons up to $15 million if one factors in the royalties, etc. In an update from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the word going around regarding Reigns being set up for renegotiations is outright false. As per the report, there are currently seven WWE wrestlers topping $5 million annually.

A couple more are expected to be added to that list this year. Moreover, outside of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, his cousin, Reigns, is the highest-paid wrestler in WWE at the moment. But his work schedule, so to speak, has only regressed over the past year or so. He’s barely on shows these days. The OTC’s last WWE appearance was on Raw after WrestleMania 41.

On that night, the Pensacola native was rocked by a steaming Bron Breakker, who wiped Reigns out with a couple of devastating spears at Seth Rollins‘ behest. Early reports suggested that the former Bloodline boss might be back on WWE programming in early June. However, that hasn’t been the case.

Seth Rollins and company may soon get stunned by Roman Reigns’ return

Seth Rollins initially had the services of Bron Breakker to rely on apart from having Paul Heyman as his special counsel. However, a few days ago, The Visionary added a certain Auszilla named “Big” Bronson Reed to beef up his crew.

Shortly after joining forces with Rollins and Breakker, Reed took aim at Roman Reigns on social media. It’s clear as daylight that the trio will eventually cross paths with The OTC once he makes it back.

However, Reigns might not be alone. The likes of Sami Zayn and CM Punk were also rubbed the wrong way by The Visionary and his men. Zayn goes way back in time with Reigns, as they were a part of the OG Bloodline. Whereas Punk and Reigns put their differences aside at Survivor Series last year to oppose Solo Sikoa‘s version of Bloodline inside WarGames.

Reigns, Zayn, and Punk have worked together as a cohesive unit on different occasions, and they’d be the plausible gush of resistance needed to oppose Rollins, Breakker, and Reed. Things are being set up for a massive 6-man tag team match. And with the star power involved, WWE might not give it away before this year’s two-night SummerSlam to be held at the MetLife Stadium.

Roman Reigns missed Money in the Bank despite rumors of his comeback

Last Saturday, Seth Rollins climbed the ladder and grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase to become a two-time Mr. MITB. The fans were convinced that Roman Reigns would screw him over at the PLE to avenge his beatdown on the post-Mania edition of Raw.

However, The Head of the Table was nowhere to be found. In fact, Rollins was heavily aided by his henchmen, who were eventually taken out by Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo. The Architect emerged on top from a field that featured LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, El Grande Americano, Penta, and Andrade.

Rollins, touted as Reigns’ greatest rival, has never let the record-setting Undisputed WWE Champion pin him in a singles match. Back at WrestleMania 41, the Chicago Bears fanatic pinned Reigns’ shoulders to the mat, thanks to Paul Heyman‘s betrayal of his former client.
