Valorant Rotation Update From 26th May: Changing Gameplay Modes For Better Queuing
Valorant has different game modes for its players, which is usually followed by a Valorant rotation update by the devs. Valorant had recently introduced a new game mode called Replication besides a new map and a battlepass. While this was the second latest inclusion after the Snowball Fight game, Replication is scheduled in three days.
With the battlepass ending in less than a month, gamers have to wait a while to expect new arrivals in the game, but the devs have kept us aware of the Valorant Valorant rotation update through blogs. Let’s find out how and when we can have our favorite game modes in the game, according to the latest Valorant Rotation Update.

Valorant Rotation Update: Waiting for your Favorite Mode?
“After Replication comes down, we’re going to transition to a new approach for making modes available to you. Namely, we’ll begin rotating existing modes along with our patch cadence—so about every two weeks. This will officially begin about two weeks from Replication’s launch date, so May 26”, Lisa Ohanian, the Senior Producer running VALORANT’s Modes team, gives us all the information we needed to know about the Valorant rotation update.
As per Lisa, rather than making all of the modes more frustrating, with more time on queue, the game chose instead to offer a select number and ensure that players can find them quickly, and with solid matchmaking. Having too many modes active at one time dilutes the queues for all of the modes available, which in turn makes it take longer to find a match in any of them.
There will 3 different types of rotating game modes, namely, Replication, Escalation, and Snowball Fight, which will now repeat on a 2 weeks basis starting from 26th May.
In Replication Mode, 5 players can pick one agent of their choice, multiple players can even pick the same agent. Then the game will initiate a roulette system and pick 1 random agent from the selected 5 agents. All 5 players in the team will have the same agent in-game.
All players have snowball launchers to attack enemies with, in Snowball Fight Mode. Additionally, they can pick up power-ups wrapped in gift boxes. These power-ups are available at random locations across the map. Escalation is an innovative one with changing guns and abilities for players.
Among all the 3 modes, only Replication seemed to contribute towards mission XP. While this may be a kind of a bummer that we will receive Replication once every 4 weeks, but on the bright side, now we get to play it all!
