Valorant provides numerous elements in the game, both in the interest of players and for the sake of clarity in gaming. Soon enough, RIOT will allow players to hide account level of their gaming ID from other players, for the sake of curbing toxicity in the gaming community of Valorant. Valorant Account Leveling is one of the new contents in episode 3 that showed how much time one player has put in the game. The article talks about the feature to hide a player’s account level that will soon be added to Valorant to bar toxicity.

According to RIOT developers, account-level was added for better clarity among the participants of a game, be it your teammates or your opponents. Until now we had a battle pass each season to show off much XP grind players have done, and as reward players get many cosmetics and in-game items like sprays and gun buddy but there was no reward that showed how much time one player has put in the game. Player accounts’ Player Card will display a numeric level based on how much you play, which goes up the more time you put in.

However, many players have reported increased toxicity against them, be it because of their low/high account level, or even their account level to the Rank disparity. The problem has caught the eye of Valorant devs and they have decided to put in a feature that will let the players hide their account level from other players.

“We’ve seen the feedback on account levels sometimes used as fuel to be toxic to another player (be it their rank-to-level ratio, or something else). We hear you and we’re working on it right now (along with some other minor improvements to Account Leveling)” said Naoise Creaven, the Senior Producer at Valorant. This feature might be added soon enough in the upcoming Act 2 Episode 3.
