Kyrie Irving waves at his daughter mid-game

During the first quarter of the Dallas Mavericks versus Milwaukee Bucks game, cameras caught a delightful dad-daughter moment. As the Bucks’ former champion, Giannis Antetokounmpo, was attempting his free throws after being fouled, Kyrie Irving was seen waving to a kid in the stands, probably to his daughter, who was courtside.

This shows how the 32-year-old balances his girl-dad duties along with his NBA career. Although the game ended in a loss for the Mavericks, Kyrie did his part with a 31-point performance at home.

After the game, he was seen heading to the locker room along with his 9-year-old daughter, Azurie Elizabeth Irving. The video shows Uncle Drew holding the hand of his daughter, chatting, and laughing with her.

Azurie is Kyrie’s first born from his previous relationship with Andrea Wilson. Conceived on November 23, 2015, and Azurie was named in honor of Kyrie’s late mother, Elizabeth Irving. The Dallas’ point guard also has two more kids with his partner Marlene Golden Wilkerson, a daughter named Kaire Irving, and a son named Kai.

Fans cherish such moments as they can relate to them. There have been numerous other counts when Kyrie brought his daughter to watch the game, and to post-game press conferences. It’s clear he is a one-woman family man type of guy, especially after he denied a free “celebrity hall pass”, saying “I love my wife…. shoutout to my wife and my kids”.

Kyrie Irving sports custom-made sneakers gifted by a fan against the Lakers

On February 25, Kyrie and the rest of the Mavs squad landed in LA to butt heads with his former teammate, Luka Doncic, and the Lakers. This was certainly a special moment for Kyrie as he was going up against his “Hermano” for the first time since being traded for Anthony Davis. To add to the limelight, the Ankletaker donned a custom-made pair of his signature KAI 1s, which were gifted to him by a fan.

This gesture speaks to Irving‘s image as a man of the people. Not only did he accept the special gift from his fan, but he also returned the favor by wearing them during a primetime matchup. Prior to the game, Kyrie also visited Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant’s statue at the Crypto Arena, a heartfelt tribute to his mentor.

Although the game ended in disappointment for the Mavericks, fans got to witness vintage Kyrie Irving. He ended the night with 35 points in 40 minutes of court time. After the game, he took to Twitter to drop a message of hope and resilience for Dallas fans as the team tackles its slump amidst injuries.
