This week’s NXT was a follow-up of the grand debut of the show on CW. To make things even bigger than the last show, Randy Orton came down to the developmental territory to face rising star Je’von Evans. However, things did not go as planned as the 20-year-old accidentally caused a massive botch against the veteran.
During the match, Evans was supposed to go up the turnbuckle to sell an RKO. However, the landing of the spot was not smooth, leading to a major botch by the young star. Moments after realizing it, Randy Orton used his veteran experience to recover from the awkward situation. Without wasting a single second, The Viper picked up Evans to deliver an RKO again to put an end to the match.
It was a pretty horrifying fall for the 20-year-old, as he directly landed on his neck first. However, it was saved at the last minute by The Apex Predator. Following the match, Evans apologized to Orton for such a botch. Being a WWE legend, the latter hugged the NXT star to give him a boost of self-esteem for the future.
