Cody Rhodes has been on a mission to take down The Bloodline for almost two years. His next step takes him to Bad Blood, where he will be forming an unlikely alliance with Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. However, this week on SmackDown, Rhodes got his morale down after getting involved in a heated argument with a friend.
The friend in question is Kevin Owens. The latter teamed up with Randy Orton to face Sikoa and Fatu in the main event. However, in the climax, Rhodes interrupted the match, inadvertently helping the faction to seize the victory. This huge loss snapped The Prizefighter as he angrily pushed Rhodes after explicitly telling him not to stick his nose in his business.
The argument got a little over heated, only for Orton to separate the two stars. Owens’ anger was a clear sign that he is not pleased with the path Rhodes has chosen to walk on. It was another tease toward a possible heel turn that KO has been hinting at for weeks.

Moreover, it is going to be interesting to see how the bond between the pair will turn around from here on. Crown Jewel is set to be next PLE following Bad Blood. Therefore, WWE might set up a marquee match between the two stars amid the ongoing tension.
Randy Orton asked Cody Rhodes for an explanation about teaming up with Roman Reigns
Cody Rhodes’ alliance with Roman Reigns was widely questioned by WWE Universe. Not only fans, but Randy Orton himself also had questions for his friend on this week’s SmackDown. Therefore, he opened the show by calling out the Undisputed Champion and asking him to explain his actions.
The American Nightmare confirmed to The Legend Killer that he trusts Reigns following their Georgia Tech meeting. He claimed that The Tribal Chief has been a man of his word throughout his career. Therefore, in order to take down The Bloodline, teaming up with the Needle Mover is the way to go.
Cody Rhodes: "This Bloodline needs to be killed. My friend with the utmost sincerity I hope it's not a problem with you."

Orton looked partly convinced with the explanation from his former stablemate. He told Rhodes that he has no problem with him teaming up with The OTC, as long as it does not create any more problems.
