To no surprise, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes delivered a banger in the sixth match of their series on the latest episode of SmackDown. The closing stretch saw LA Knight interfere to exact revenge on Hayes. Andrade got into an argument with Knight, which allowed Hayes to secure the win following a schoolboy pin. The United States Champion tried resolving matters with the 34-year-old star, who refused to shake his hand.
WWE released footage on X, showing the pair continuing their war of words backstage. Soon enough, Knight and Andrade got physical as they were quickly separated by officials. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis arrived on the scene as well, brokering peace between his top stars. Despite managing to calm things for now, Aldis will have to find a way to resolve this three-way feud also involving Hayes.
After all, the A-Champion is the one who indirectly caused this heated confrontation. Prior to his bout against Andrade, Hayes blindsided The Megastar with a backstage attack. Therefore, the latter intended to repay the favor before the Latino Superstar stopped him in his tracks.

Since July, the former NXT Champions have collided for the battle of supremacy on the blue brand. In what has been one of the bright spots on SmackDown, Andrade and Hayes have torn the house down in every single match of their series. With his win last night, Carmelo Hayes has leveled the series 3-3.
Having said that, both superstars will look to settle the score in the upcoming weeks. Moreover, a triple-threat US Championship match might be on the cards following the events that transpired on SmackDown.
A look at LA Knight’s United States Championship reign on SmackDown
At SummerSlam, LA Knight finally won his first singles title of his career. The 41-year-old star defeated Logan Paul for the United States Championship despite the latter receiving help from rapper MGK. Since claiming the title, Knight has made it his mission to be a defending champion.
So far, The Megastar has lived up to the task. In his first title defense, Knight emerged victorious against Santos Escobar. Weeks later, the erstwhile Eli Drake overcame Ludwig Kaiser in the latter’s home country.
Following his win over Andrade on last week’s SmackDown, Knight has already surpassed his predecessor in terms of successful title defenses. For those unversed, Paul had only defended his belt three times during his underwhelming 273-day championship reign.
