Next week’s SmackDown will be the final stop to the Bad Blood PLE. And it’s shaping up to be a can’t miss show. A few hours ago, general manager Nick Aldis announced that The Bloodline will defend its tag team titles against The Street Profits and #DIY in a triple threat ladder match. Not only that, a dumpster match between Chelsea Green and Michin has also been made official.

It looks like Nashville is eating well next Friday. With the aforementioned ladder match being a three-way contest, there’s a high chance of a title change. Back in August, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa waged war against DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

A heavy assist from Jacob Fatu came in handy for the Tongans as they made light work of their opponents to win the tag team gold. Now it’s time for some payback, as DIY would think. But, standing in their way are Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, who’ve had their fair share of lows against Bloodline.

The Street Profits wouldn’t want any less than championship glory to recuperate from an unwanted trail of losses. Being former 3-time tag team champs, the Profits have that big match experience no matter what.

What else can the fans expect from SmackDown when it comes to Music City next week? After more than a three-month hiatus, AJ Styles will return to SmackDown. His last televised match was against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title at Clash at the Castle in a losing attempt.

Moreover, Nia Jax is know aware of whom she’s going to face for the women’s title at Bad Blood. It’s confirmed that The Irresistible Force will defend the gold against Bayley. It’d serve as a rematch to their previous encounter that went down at SummerSlam.

Is SmackDown set to undergo major change?

A few days ago, it was reported that SmackDown will be adding a third hour to its runtime starting next year. The change was expected to go into effect in January. However, it wouldn’t be permanent as the show will revert to two hours in June 2025.

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people in WWE are waiting to make an official announcement, although nothing has been finalized just yet. It seems like the three-hour format is likely being added to contain the flair of WrestleMania 41.

In that case, someone like The Rock wouldn’t have to worry about going overtime during his segments considering he’d be on the shows for his highly-anticipated return to the squared circle in Las Vegas.
