The anticipated documentary of Vince McMahon, titled ‘Mr. McMahon’ is out on Netflix. It sheds a lot of light on the controversial life of the former WWE chairman. However, a recent report revealed that McMahon took major steps to ensure that his words were being monitored during the interview for the series.
According to Dave Meltzer on WOR, the 79-year-old took extreme precautions during his interviews. He revealed that McMahon was never alone, and his team was tasked with preventing him from making inappropriate statements. In fact, Vince even cancelled his final interview with the producers following the first Wall Street Journal story.
Therefore, there was no follow-up to the story after the allegations against Vince McMahon came to light. Besides, the latter was careful in discussing only the tip of the iceberg of his life. At one instance, he even told the camera that he could not discuss the “real” stories of his life, followed by an unserious laughter.
Moreover, it was heard that several hours of the footage was cut off from the series. It came as no surprise when it was reported that Vince even tried to purchase the series with a motive to destroy it. Although the documentary could not take a deep dive into the allegations against the 79-year-old, it definitely details many of the other controversies around McMahon.
Vince McMahon has shocking advice for the people who wants to retire
Vince McMahon worked in WWE for a very long time. In his documentary, he was asked if he ever saw himself retiring. The former WWE chairman denied this question at that time, claiming he would never retire. In fact, he had serious advice for the people who want to retire.
McMahon claimed that he has always been appalled by people who stop working. He suggested that retirement should only come after they die. The former WWE chairman questioned the purpose of life after retirement.
Furthermore, it looked like Vince never planned for retirement until he was accused of a s*x trafficking lawsuit. McMahon resigned from his day-to-day operations at TKO earlier this year. He completely stepped down from his role following the heinous trafficking allegations against him and WWE by Janel Grant.
