Stephanie Vaquer had a chip on her shoulder heading into Survivor Series: WarGames, and it was as big as the size of Nikki Bella. The former CMLL star successfully defended her women’s world title against the WWE Hall of Famer in a battle of different eras on Saturday.

Going up against a younger and comparatively more adept in-ring technician like Vaquer was always going to be a task for Bella. ‘The Fearless One’ had a neck-and-neck battle with Vaquer, but the latter came prepared for Bella’s best shot—the Rack Attack 2.0.

Vaquer kicked out of it and made the former Total Divas host work at a methodical pace. ‘The Dark Angel’ underhooked Bella for the Devil’s Kiss and even executed it on the top of the commentary desk at ringside.

Vaquer did it again inside the ring before putting away Bella with a Corkscrew Splash to retain her title. ‘La Primera’ thought that ‘The Fearless One’ was a mentor-cum-friend to her. However, the latter betrayed the Chilean wrestler exactly when she got way too comfortable in Bella’s company.

‘The Beautiful Bomber’ later explained on Raw that Vaquer reminded the former Divas Champion of her old self, who didn’t return to WWE to be anyone’s sidekick.

Now that Vaquer has put down Bella, she can finally look forward to some new competition unless WWE has plans to continue their feud. As of last month, the company had discussed WrestleMania 42 plans for Vaquer, with Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley being pitched as potential opponents for ‘La Primera’ at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Liv Morgan trolls John Cena after shocking return at Survivor Series: WarGames

In the only men’s title defense on the show at Survivor Series: WarGames, John Cena lost the Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio. But it took the entire Judgment Day, and an epic Liv Morgan return, to get the title belt off Cena.

The latter made it past Mysterio’s chicanery, where he faked an injury at ringside to allow Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez to hit their respective finishers on the 48-year-old while the referee was engaged with the medics who were checking on Dom.

After Rodriguez and Perez got their moves in, ‘Dirty Dom’ made a beeline for Cena to hit the 619 and the frog splash on the 17-time world champion.

The match referee, however, didn’t get down to the mat for counting the pinfall, as he’d become aware of what Mysterio was up to. He even ejected the former women’s tag team champions from the ringside to even the playing field.

Then, at one point deep into the match, Cena inadvertently took out the referee with a shoulder tackle. As he had Mysterio locked in an STF, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh came running down that aisle and started raining down on ‘The Cenation Leader’.

Cena eventually hit Balor and McDonagh with a double Attitude Adjustment. Just when it looked like Cena was oh-so-close to title retention, the unthinkable happened. Liv Morgan’s music hit, and the crowd went nuts. She had returned from a shoulder injury and slapped Dom in a shocking turn of events. Even Cena was baffled. Morgan turned around and hugged the Peacemaker actor.

However, her expressions changed in a hurry, and she kicked Cena right in the balls. It was a ruse. Mysterio got back on his feet and hit the 619, followed by the Frog Splash, to win the IC title for the second time this year.

Morgan later took to X and posted an old picture of herself dressed up in John Cena’s clothes. That was an epic troll job from the former women’s world champion. It was Cena’s last-ever WWE PLE match, and it ended on a sad note for him.
