Jasmine Paolini got a lot of attention from tennis fans after reaching the final of the 2024 Roland Garros and the Wimbledon Championships, and she felt grateful to play those matches in front of her parents who have supported her since she picked up the racket at the age of five. 

Paolini was born in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Tuscany, Italy, to father Ugo Paolini and mother Jacqueline Paolini on January 4, 1996. It was Ugo and her uncle who introduced a five-year-old Paolini to tennis. Her brother, William Paolini, also plays tennis.

She trained at Mirafiume Tennis Club in Bagni di Lucca and later received training in Tirrenia. She turned professional in 2011 and won two singles and four doubles titles on the WTA Tour.

I remember that my father and my mother told me, you have to choose one sport to do. In Bagni Di Lucca there was all tennis and a swimming pool and, because of my uncle, who was playing tennis, I decided to go to play. I have enjoyed it a lot ever since I started it. I really enjoyed being at the tennis club. We were like a big family and I had friends there. It was really nice.
