Angel Reese is having an outstanding rookie season in the WNBA. Posting double doubles almost every night in her attempts to guide her Chicago Sky to wins. She also happens to have a large fanbase owing to her stardom. But along with that comes scrutiny surrounding her relationship status. Last year when with LSU, her boyfriend was Cam’Ron Fletcher. Now the situation has changed.
The situation changed in March 2024 when Reese was right in the middle of NCAA March Madness. She and Florida State basketball player Fletcher ended their relationship and proceeded to delete all social media references. Then onwards, Reese was trying to keep her peace with the number of DMs flowing her way increasing proportionally with her stardom.
Now, a series of reference points suggest she has moved on to some again from the basketball fraternity. This time though, it is someone who is also playing in the pro league. Although, they are just rumors, but her actions so far suggest that it is a done deal.

Angel Reese‘s last confirmed boyfriend was Cam’Ron Fletcher. The 6’ 7″ guard is part of the Florida State Seminoles men’s basketball team. But after the conclusion of the last NCAA season, he entered the transfer portal. It was during his time with the Seminoles that he started his relationship with Reese.
The exact date of when the relationship started is unknown. But Reese confirmed that she was dating Fletcher while on a podcast in June 2023. They were together for some time and even took a trip to Jamaica. However, the relationship took a nosedive due to their scheduling conflicts.
Ultimately in March 2024 the Chicago Sky forward confirmed on an Instagram Live that she was single. She even made it clear that she did not appreciate being attached to any other man by her fans on social media. That is until she herself started giving off clues to her next relationship.
Dropping hints about dating NBA star
Angel Reese was categorically clear up until the end of July 2024 that she did not have a man in her life. Then the world caught a glimpse of a potential date when the 22-year-old went on vacation during the WNBA Olympic break. What mattered to fans was that Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren posted a reel of the exact same location but on his own social media account.
That sent the basketball world into a frenzy. Reese then fanned the flames a month later when she posted a reel on her official Instagram account of her vibing to a track while sitting in her car. The link to the entire Duren story was that she sported a Detroit Pistons hoodie. She also suggested that she loves a ‘J’.
The latest hint was a few days back when she sported a Pistons Dennis Rodman jersey on her way to a Sky game. For a woman who has no links to Detroit, it was obvious to fans that something was going on between her and Jalen Duren. That said, the Pistons’ rising star is not the first big-name person she was linked with.
Angel Reese was once linked with NBA YoungBoy
With her rising fame comes the chance that another celebrity might want to try his luck with her. That is what rapper NBA YoungBoy tried to do when Reese catapulted to fame after defeating Caitlin Clark in the NCAA Championship.
The then-LSU star had publicly suggested that she would like to be a feature in a music video. NBA YoungBoy took that chance and slid in with a flirtatious reply. That fueled rumors of them dating even though Reese never uttered a word. Only when the talk on social media started to become unbearable did she come out publicly to deny all those rumors.
Angel Reese has been on a roller coaster ride in terms of relationships. As she continues to give hints about Jalen Duren, the chatter among fans continues to grow. Maybe her upcoming podcast will give a hint.
