Sentinels in Valorant is a very important role in the team composition. Valorant has a myriad of agents and a variety of roles divided among 16 agents. Sentinels in Valorant Importance
In Riot Games’ tactical shooter the players have to choose one agent for the entire match. The characters have some similarities when it comes to their abilities, each of them has four abilities. The first two are purchasable and cost credits. The signature ability of every agent is free to use and is available for the players without a cooldown at the beginning of every round. In addition to that, every character has an ultimate ability.
Each character has 4 unique abilities and plays a specific role in the composition of the team. A team with perfectly composed roles played by suitable players is almost unbeatable in any scenario. Sentinels are defensive experts that have the abilities that manipulate the battlefield, lockdown areas of contention, and provide utility such as healing. There are currently three Sentinels in VALORANT: Cypher; Killjoy; and Sage.
One of the most important things in Valorant is to know the abilities of the agents and what roles they specialize in. This will put the players in the winning position and it will not matter if they are playing as attackers or as defenders. It is a popular opinion that the Sentinels are more useful while in defense, but the abilities of these two agents can be really useful at any point in the game.
While as a sentinel, Sage’s main role is to lock down a part of the site with her wall, slow her enemies as a defense mechanism, heal and resurrect her teammates as a supporting character, she can also use her wall as a means of protecting the site in attacking part of the game. Similarly, Killjoy and Cypher can also act as both roles of attacker and defense, which is equally necessary and important in the game.
