“I have nothing but love,” Top AEW star comments on wrestling WWE’s Drew McIntyre again after more than 7 years
Top AEW wrestler opened up about his relationship with Drew McIntyre and expressed his desire to fight him again after 7 years.

Drew McIntyre has emerged as one of the top superstars in 2024, thanks to his intense rivalry with CM Punk. Not only are wrestling fans thrilled to see him succeed, but wrestlers from other promotions are also happy for him. One of them is AEW wrestler Will Ospreay, who is regarded by many as one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. Recently, Ospreay opened up about the relationship he shared when they used to wrestle together.
While speaking in an interview with Inside The Ropes, Will Ospreay admitted that he loved wrestling with Drew McIntyre. Not only that, The Aerial Assassin also expressed his desire to wrestle him again someday. Although Ospreay mentioned that he hadn’t been in contact with McIntyre, he admitted to following his work and hopes for the same in return.
The AEW Intercontinental Champion said that if he ever gets the chance to wrestle The Scottish Warrior again, he would do it any day of the week. After WWE released McIntyre during his first stint, he wrestled on the independent circuit under the moniker Drew Galloway and faced Ospreay. The duo last squared off against each other in 2017.

The British star recently defeated MJF to become two-time AEW Intercontinental Champion at AEW All In in London. Meanwhile, McIntyre suffered a loss to his arch-nemesis CM Punk in a strap match at the Bash in Berlin PLE in Germany. However, he proved once again that their rivalry was far from over by brutally attacking him on the latest episode of Raw.
Bully Ray praised the recent segment between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre
On the latest episode of Raw, The Second City Saint came out and addressed the WWE Universe. He clarified that his rivalry with McIntyre was over and shifted his focus to Gunther and his world title. However, The Sinister Scotsman brutally attacked him with four Claymore Kicks and destroyed his priceless bracelet. Bully Ray had many positive things to say about the segment.
While talking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the Hall of Famer stated that he absolutely loved the segment. He praised the way McIntyre broke the bracelet and tried to shove it in the former WWE Champion’s face. Ray believed that it took their story to another level, as Punk’s heart was now broken.
I loved what I saw on WWE Raw on so many levels. I loved the destroying of the bracelet because of what the bracelet means to CM Punk...It is a 50-cent bracelet and breaking that bracelet breaks CM Punk's heart. The legendary wrestler also appreciated the subtle touch from commentator Wade Barrett, who tried to stop McIntyre. Ray said that if his fellow countrymen couldn’t stop him, then no one else would be able to. It will surely be intriguing to see how Punk reacts in the upcoming weeks.
