Women’s T20 Challenge Final: Twitter reacts as Trailblazers beat Supernovas to win the WT20 Challenge for the first time

The Trailblazers defeated the Supernovas to lift the Women’s T20 Challenge for the first time. Supernovas had lifted the trophy in each of the last two seasons and were looking for a third successive win. However, in a low-scoring encounter, they could not get over the line.

Earlier, the Supernovas had won the toss and chosen to field first. The Trailblazers had an excellent first half of the innings as skipper Smriti Mandhana led the way with a well-made 68 off 49. However, after her departure, the Supernovas could not get any sort of momentum going. The Supernovas’ Radha Yadav made history by picking up the first 5-wicket haul in the Women’s T20 Challenge.

In the second innings, the Supernovas started off cautiously but lost three wickets early. The onus was then on captain Harmanpreet Kaur to come good with the bat.
