“Smackdown is about to get Boujeé,” Aliyah reacts to her WWE Smackdown call-up

Aliyah, is a Canadian professional wrestler, who used to perform on WWE’s black and gold brand – NXT. The Superstar was recently drafted to Smackdown during the 2021 WWE Draft. But the draft will come into effect only after WWE Crown Jewel, so we can expect the new face to showup on the Blue brand, sometime later this month.
Even without any prior experience, Aliyah toiled hard in WWE and has established herself as a top-notch professional wrestler. Undoubtedly, she was one of the most deserving performers to get called up from the former black and gold brand to the main roster.
Several Superstars from the world of professional wrestling took to Twitter to congratulate her on the call-up. The news of Aliyah being drafted to the Blue brand was not announced during the show, but was announced during the post-show, Talking Smack.
“It feels great. And to anyone out there that’s watching, I just want to let you know — just keep going. If you have a goal, if you have a plan, if you have a dream in mind, just keep going, keep pushing. If nobody else believes in you, well, guess what? You better believe in you,” she mentioned as soon as the news was broken to her.
Several WWE Superstars – Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Nikki A.S.H. and Indi Hartwell among others, took to Twitter to welcome the newest member on the Smackdown roster. The former member of the Robert Stone Brand herself mentioned, “Feeling the love. SmackDown is about to get Boujeé.”
Aliyah has been with WWE since 2015

Aliyah, real name Nhooph Al-Areebi, has studied nursing and even attended a circus training school. In 2013, she started wrestling on the independent circuit. She wrestled on Squared Circle Wrestling, under the ring name of Jasmeen Areebi. She went on to wrestle for several promotions in Canada and the United States.
She signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2015. The same year, she got the ring name Aliyah, which she continues to use till date. Her TV debut came in a Battle Royale match and her first win came against Billie Kay. In 2017, she made her first appearance on the main roster and ended up losing to Carmella. After toiling hard on NXT, she has finally made her way to the main roster.
