WWE announces Wrestlemania special episode of Smackdown

Special announcements were made for next week's Smackdown
WWE’s biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania, is just a little over a week away. The next week’s episode of WWE Smackdown will be the go-home episode of the blue-brand. A few special announcements have been made for the show as WWE aims to get hyped up for the two-night extravaganza.
The Wrestlemania special episode of Smackdown will be featuring the “Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal” match and also a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Smackdown Tag Team titles. Universal Champion Roman Reigns and challengers – Edge and Daniel Bryan are scheduled to appear too.
On behalf of WWE official Adam Pearce, the announcement was made on WWE on FOX’s Twitter account. The Tag Team Championship match was the most surprising one, as a title match usually is booked for PPV’s but WWE has some other plans.
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal match

The Battle Royal matches usually take place on the pre-show of Wrestlemania. But this time WWE has decided to have the match a night prior to Smackdown. The participants of the Battle Royal were revealed too.
The Battle Royal features some of the big names like Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso and King Corbin. It is unfortunate that so many wrestlers might miss out on an opportunity of performing in front of a live crowd after over a year.
WWE Wrestlemania 37 airs live on 10th and 11th April, 2021.
