WWE Champion
Big E was one of the biggest Superstars of WWE in 2021. The WWE Draft 2020 saddened the fans as it broke up The New Day trio. But at the same time it opened up great new avenues for E’s singles career. He has been with WWE since 2009, but it was only post-2020 that he started getting the long-deserved singles push.
His dream run kicked off when he managed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match in 2021. Despite of being a part of the Smackdown roster, Big E made it clear that he was going after the WWE Championship, held by Bobby Lashley on Raw. In fact, he announced his cash-in attempt in advance and successfully went through with it.
Since then, E has been the WWE Champion. But he will be kicking off 2022 with the biggest title defense of the year. He will be putting his title on the line against not one, not two, but three former World Champions. At WWE Day 1, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley, all are coming after the top title!
The WWE Champion recently appeared for an interview with The JBoy Show where he acknowledged the massive challenge lying ahead and at the same time sounded confident. “it’s a big one for me. It’s a fatal four-way match and everyone in the match has been a world champion before. This is my very first World Championship title. Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, these guys are all at the very top of their craft. So for me to have that match in Atlanta on the 1st is very, very cool,” mentioned the WWE Champion.
Can Big E retain at WWE Day 1?

The Championship match at WWE Day 1 will be featuring some of the biggest Superstars on the roster today. It is undoubtedly one of the biggest match of Big E’s career and it could well be the biggest match of the night. While E had an impressive run as the Champion he hasn’t got much momentum heading into the PPV.
If there is one Superstar who dominated his way through into the match – it is the All Mighty One, Bobby Lashley. But Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens attacked him brutally weeks before the match – an angle which could come in to play leading into his loss. But overall, this is the only title match which could see a new Champion being crowned.
