3 new members have been elected to the WWE Board of Directors

WWE is not just a wrestling promotion. They are a publicly traded company and a leader in global entertainment. WWE produces original family-friendly content 52 weeks a year, through their TV programming, PPV’s, digital media and publishing platforms.

WWE’s television programming is seen in more than 900 million homes worldwide and available in 28 languages. The company recently announced that new members have been elected to its Board of Directors – Steve Koonin, Connor Schell and Nick Khan.

Over the years, WWE has established itself as a global brand, which is constantly expanding. They are currently available in over 180 countries, and are working towards to expanding their markets. But they are not restricted to producing their professional wrestling shows. They produce podcasts, documentaries, movies and even weekly series.

India has been on a major part of WWE’s expansion plans – they recently aired an India-special show titled Superstar Spectacle which featured their Indian talents performing with the main roster Superstars.

Newly elected member Nick Khan is also the President of WWE

Nick Khan has been serving as WWE’s President and the Chief Revenue Officer since August 2020. Prior to his stint with WWE, Khan was the Co-Head of the Television Department at Creative Artists Agency LLC (CAA), where he represented top broadcasters and even helped WWE to negotiate billions of dollars in media rights deals.

Steve Koonin is the CEO of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, since April, 2014. He has even had a 14-year long stint with The Coca Cola Company, as the head of the marketing anf advertising promotions. Post that, he also served as the President of Turner Entertainment Networks.

Connor Schell is the founder and CEO of a new unscripted venture with Chernin Entertainment. The former Executive Vice President, Content at ESPN, is also an award-winning producer of film and television.

Vince McMahon is the CEO and Chairman of WWE. His daughter Stephanie McMahon holds the position of Chief Brand Officer and son-in-law Paul “Triple H” is the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development.
