WWE Champion Big E is currently in the best phase of his professional wrestling career. He has been one of the most loved Superstars on the main roster, since he formed the New Day – along with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Initially, he was just seen as more of a comic performer, who wrestled good, but all of that changed in 2021.
After humongous support from the fans, Big E started getting the push that he long deserved. This year, he delivered one impressive performance after another. He went on to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. It seemed like he would be coming after Roman Reigns for the Universal title, but he surprised everyone after announcing in advance that he will be coming after the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
On an episode of WWE Raw, Lashley put his title on the line against Randy Orton. While the All Mighty managed to win against the Apex Predator, Big E managed to successfully cash-in his contract and kick off his first reign as the WWE Champion. Since then, WWE Champion Big E has been a dominant performer and to impress an athlete of his really calibre really means something. E recently revealed that Canelo Alvarez is the best boxer in the world, according to him.
“I think Canelo is the best boxer on the planet. You’re not going to find anyone who can beat Canelo right now. I’ve really enjoyed this current iteration of him and him being more open,” mentioned Big E in a recent video posted by WWE on BT Sport.
Canelo Alvarez currently has a record of 56 wins from 59 fights in his professional boxing career. He will be facing undefeated IBF Champion Caleb Plant on November 6 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. All the four major world titles in the super-middleweight division are going to be on the line in this undisputed bout.
WWE Champion Big E will face Universal Champion Roman Reigns on Survivor Series
WWE is now gearing up for their next PPV – Survivor Series. The two main roster brands will collide for brand supremacy. In addition to the Men’s and Women’s Tag Team Elimination match, the event will also feature Champion vs Champion matches.
WWE Champion Big E will be going against Universal Champion Roman Reigns. On the latest episode of Smackdown, Reigns attacked Big E’s partners – Kingston and Woods. This might indicate that Big E could come out to attack Reigns on next week’s episode of the Blue brand.
