“F**K OFF”: When Charlotte Flair showed the middle finger to the WWE Universe

Smackdown Women's Champion
Charlotte Flair is the most successful woman in the history of WWE, in terms of World Championship reigns. She has 13 World Championships to her name and currently holds the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Interestingly, she didn’t have to win the title. Flair was holding the Raw Women’s Championship, before she was drafted to Smackdown in the 2021 WWE Draft.
As a result, she just had to exchange her title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. But her endeavour to win the Raw Women’s title were quite interesting. Charlotte Flair had feuded against Rhea Ripley – who was then holding the Raw Women’s title. They collided for the title at Money in the Bank 2021 PPV.
Both the Superstars delivered one of the best matches of the night. But the WWE Universe was chanting for Becky Lynch for a major part of the match. This was when Lynch hadn’t returned from her maternity break. Charlotte Flair was quite unimpressed with this and flipped the bird to the crowd! In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, the Smackdown Women’s Champion opened up about the incident.
“I think the crowd was partially doing that because it was me. And, also, it didn’t help that she’d been gone – how long, a year, a year and a half – and she posted a picture outside the venue. So the fans wanted her. They hadn’t seen her. And I was like, ‘F you, you’re going to respect Rhea, you’re going to respect me and you’re going to watch this match.’ And it went from those chants to, ‘This is awesome’,” mentioned Flair.
Charlotte Flair is gearing up to main event Wrestlemania

In just a few hours, Charlotte Flair will be putting her title on the line. She will be defending the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday. The rivalry had kicked off at Royal Rumble earlier this year.
Flair had entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match with the intention of winning and choosing her own opponent for Wrestlemania. But Ronda Rousey showed up and eliminated The Queen to win the match. Initially it seemed like The Baddest Woman on the Planet will be going after Becky Lynch but she took a complete swerve and chose to face Flair.
