Charlotte Flair will put her Smackdown Women’s title on the line at Christmas Special

Smackdown Women's Champion

Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest Heels in WWE today. Interestingly 3 out of the 4 top Champions from the company are currently heels – the other two being Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch. But out of the 3, Flair has been a Heel for the longest time. In fact, she has played the part for so long and so well that the WWE Universe often directs their hate for the character towards the Superstar!

In addition to being one of the biggest Heels of the company, Flair has also been the most successful Superstar in the women’s division. She has been the WWE World Champion 13-times and that is an all-time record – behind John Cena, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Triple H. Her 13th reign as a Champion started at Summerslam when she defeated Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H in a Triple Threat match.

While she had won the Raw Women’s Championship, she was drafted to the Blue brand. As a result of this she simply exchanged her title with Becky Lynch to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Recently, her first feud kicked off against Toni Storm, and she is all set to put her title on the line.

On the Christmas Special episode of WWE Smackdown, Charlotte Flair will be defending her title against Toni Storm. In a recent episode of the Blue brand, Storm had pinned Flair in a Championship Contender’s match to become the No.1 Contender for the title. While her match was expected to take place at WWE Day 1, it will now take place on Christmas.

Considering how packed the Day 1 card is, it will not be surprising to see if we get a rematch at the PPV. On Smackdown we might see a controversial finish to the match, which could set up the match for Day 1.

Charlotte Flair is unlikely to lose her title

While Toni Storm is trying to establish herself on the main roster, Charlotte Flair has immense momentum currently and shouldn’t lose the title. In fact, in her recent match with Storm – Flair completely devoured Storm. This really made Storm look weak, especially when she is gearing up for a Championship match.

But WWE managed to control some damage and Storm pinned Flair in a Tag Team match on the latest Smackdown episode. But it still doesn’t seem like impressive enough to earn her first title reign. Unless WWE plans a major surprise, Charlotte Flair looks well set to retain her title.
