After Bray Wyatt tragically passed away last year, there were rumors that WWE wanted to honor his legacy on the screen. As such, reports suggested that Wyatt’s real-life brother, Bo Dallas, would continue with his Uncle Howdy persona. For the past few weeks, teasers and subtle hints have emerged on WWE’s live programming. On the latest episode of SmackDown, a QR code popped up during the telecast, which shows yet another tease.
The code has led fans to a cryptic video. And the short clip shows a few phrases and images that potentially symbolize the Uncle Howdy character. Two of the messages depicted are “I set them free” and “Opened their eyes.” Furthermore, a geographic coordinate appears momentarily. Fans online found that it leads to a place called ‘Cross Cave’ in Slovenia. Throughout the video, symbols of crows and crosses appear a few times.

Evidently, this is similar to the lead-up to Bray Wyatt‘s emphatic return at Extreme Rules 2022. However, there has been no concrete report mentioning when Uncle Howdy will make his eventual on-screen comeback. During WrestleMania week, a documentary based on The Eater of Worlds aired on Peacock. The heart-touching tribute was narrated by none other than Bo Dallas.
Prior to Wyatt’s hiatus in 2023, the two brothers worked alongside each other for months. The WWE Universe speculated that a rivalry of some sort would commence at WrestleMania 39. However, the Wyatt Family leader contracted COVID, which worsened his heart condition. Needless to say, fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the Uncle Howdy character, who might not be alone.
Will Uncle Howdy form a faction along with Erick Rowan?
As the return of Uncle Howdy nears, another major tease has led fans to believe that a new faction might be introduced. A few days ago, former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan cancelled an appearance on an indie promotion. According to the latter, he pulled out due to obligations under a “new contract” of some sort.

Last year, ‘Wyatt 6’ was considered the potential name of Bray’s new stable. Now, with Howdy returning, Rowan can join Bo in commemorating the Eater of Worlds. The former Tag Team Champion was released by WWE in 2020 amid the pandemic.
He made an appearance during the start of the August 25th edition of SmackDown, which paid tribute to Bray. Now, he has most likely signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion. Other names that are rumored to join Uncle Howdy and Erick Rowan are Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss, both of whom have worked closely with Wyatt before.
