WWE Crown Jewel 2021: The most personal feud on the card will conclude with a No Holds Barred match

WWE Crown Jewel 2021 is less than a week away. WWE is returning to Saudi Arabia with a pay-per-view after missing out last year, due to the global pandemic. The company has tried its best to make-up for the missed show last year, with a power-packed card for this year. Part-time Superstars like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg have returned for the event, whereas top Champions like bi, Becky Lynch and Randy Orton are scheduled to be in action too.

There are 9 matches announced for the card so far. Two of these matches are stipulation matches – a Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Edge, and a No Holds Barred match between Bobby Lashley and Goldberg. Interestingly, both the matches have become quite personal. But the one between Lashley and Goldberg is slightly more personal

The two Superstars had collided at WWE Summerslam for the WWE Championship. Lashley ended up retaining the title after Goldberg’s knee gave in and he couldn’t continue with the match. But the All Mighty Lashley continued to attack Goldberg. This led Gldberg’s son Gage to jump in and attack Lashley. Predictably, Lashley held Gage in a sleeper hold, making this feud really personal.

While Goldberg was on his was on his way to recovery, he mentioned that he will be coming after Lashley – not only to defeat him but to destroy him. On a recent episode of Raw, Lashley agreed to Goldberg’s challenge one condition – their match would have a No Holds Barred stipulation. Goldberg accepted the condition and proudly mentioned that this stipulation gave him “the license to kill” at WWE Crown Jewel 2021.

Based on this, it seems like a brutal bout is on the cards and both the Superstars are going to put everything on the line to win this battle. Considering no rules apply to this match, we could see interruptions from the Hurt Business members and from Gage as well.

Goldberg has made regular appearances on the WWE shows in Saudi Arabia. The first of these outings was a disastrous affair for him. He faced The Undertaker for the first time ever but he suffered a concussion few minutes into the match and eventually ended up losing the match.

The next match he appeared for in Saudi Arabia turned out to be quite controversial. He defeated The Fiend to become the Universal Champion. The booking received severe criticism and led to The Fiend losing steam. A win for Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego could’ve done wonders, but WWE decided to give a win to a part-timer! This time again it is quite likely that at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 will earn a win to Goldberg, but that could adversely affect Lashley’s build.
