WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Raw Tag Team Championships are on the line once again

WWE Crown Jewel 2021 card seems like it could be one of the biggest WWE events of the year. Some of the biggest stars of the company – Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, among others are set to be in action at the Saudi Arabia event. Some of the top titles of the company are going to be on the line.
While the Universal Championship and the Smackdown Women’s Championship matches were announced well in advance, one of the most surprising additions to the card was the Raw Tag Team Championship match. Randy Orton and Riddle will be putting their titles on the line against AJ Styles and Omos.
The unusual team of Styles and Omos had been the Raw Tag Team Champions since Wrestlemania 37. They had been a really dominant force on the Red brand, but their reign came to screeching halt when they faced RK-Bro at WWE Summerslam. Interestingly, this was the first reign as Raw Tag Team Champions for both – Orton and Riddle.
Interestingly, both the teams are quite unusual. They feature Superstars who are poles apart, yet have been really well coordinated as a team. Each have one WWE legend and one upcoming talent. This makes the match at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 a battle of equals.
Could RK-bro part ways at WWE Crown Jewel 2021?
This is going to be the first title defense for RK-Bro. While Styles and Omos are quite a dominant team, it is quite unlikely that the Raw Tag Team titles will change hands at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. The current Champions are one of the best part of the Red brand. In fact, Orton himself is quite a big fan of this angle, making it quite unlikely for the title to change hands.
It is quite likely that once RK-Bro lose their titles, Orton will turn on Riddle kicking off a feud between the two. But WWE would definitely want to capitalize on their current success and have them break up before a bigger event like Wrestlemania.
