Recently, WWE released several superstars from their contracts, including three Indian wrestlers, Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan, and Sanga. The Modern Day Maharaja announced his release from the company with a post on social media. However, Sanga had something to say about it to the Indian wrestling fans.

Saurav Gurjar, aka Sanga, took to X and addressed the situation professionally to his fans. He stated that he, along with Jinder Mahal and Veer Mahaan, were all positive about their future. However, he said that it did hurt not having any Indian wrestlers in the company right now. The 38-year-old further asserted that WWE used the Indian market for their huge fanbase but didn’t give their wrestlers a proper chance to shine.

Although many fans agreed with his comments, some fans even said the reason for their release was that their characters failed to connect with the audience. Sanga has done most of his work in NXT, where he first joined as Grayson Waller‘s bodyguard. However, after getting fired from the position, he got into a rivalry with the Aussie and lost. He soon joined forces with Veer Mahaan to form Indus Sher, along with Mahal.

As for the former WWE Champion, 2024 started fantastically, as on the Day 1 edition of Raw, he got confronted by The Rock. He even had the opportunity to win the title but lost in a match against Seth Rollins. His last appearance was in the Battle Royale. It took place on SmackDown before WrestleMania, but he was eliminated. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for all three superstars.

The Modern Day Maharaja changed his profile bio, indicating that he would be a free agent after completing the 90-day no-compete clause. The no-compete clause under the Triple H era is 90 days for main roster superstars and 30 days for NXT superstars. Meanwhile, Li received many heartfelt messages from her peers on social media.

According to Fightful, the release was because of budget cuts. The releases were based on factors like the lack of creative direction and their trajectory since joining WWE.
