“Feels totally wild,” Hall of Famer hypes up her match against Becky Lynch
Lynch and Lita
Becky Lynch is one of the most popular Superstars in the professional wrestling industry today. Currently holding the Raw Women’s Championship, she made her surprising return to the company at Summerslam 2021, after a maternity break. Within moments of making her return, Lynch pinned Bianca Belair in 26 seconds to become the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Since then, Becky Lynch has exchanged her title for the Raw Women’s Championship with Charlotte Flair due to the Draft. As the Champion from the red brand, she is yet to have a high-profile feud. As the Raw Women’s Champion, Lynch has feuded against Liv Morgan and Doudrop. She successfully defended her title against both her opponents.
But at Royal Rumble, it was being speculated that the Women’s Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey would be going after Lynch. Initially, it was being teased that Rousey would in fact choose to challenge Lynch, but that wasn’t the case. Rousey chose to challenge Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
But WWE did not forget about Becky Lynch, they had massive plans in store as well. She was challenged by WWE Hall of Famer Lita. The two Superstars will be colliding for the Raw Women’s title at the Elimination Chamber. In a recent appearance on the Raw Talk, Lita revealed that she had not imagined facing Lynch in her wildest dreams.
“I mean, I’m the girl that shows up at the Hall of Fame and WrestleMania once a year, says hi. I didn’t think in any of my dreams. I’m not a planner but I did not plan for this. It’s crazy. In one way it feels like totally wild, but in another way, I feel pretty good,” mentioned the Hall of Famer.
Becky Lynch is yet to find a Wrestlemania opponent
Becky Lynch was sincerely hoping that she would be picked by Ronda Rousey as her Wrestlemania opponent. But the honour to main event the Showcase of Immortals went to Charlotte Flair. This leaves Lynch without an opponent for the event.
But an Elimination Chamber match has been announced to determine the No.1 contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. But it still isn’t clear whether the winner will earn a match at Mania or before that. There is also a possibility that the feud against Lita could even continue till the event.
