WWE Hall of Famer DDP (also known as Diamond Dallas Page) never shies away from reflecting what he feels about the current product. The hottest topic in the pro wrestling industry has been the return of Bray Wyatt who was shockingly released last year amidst budget cuts of the company.
But now The Eater of The Worlds is back and is being repackaged with a mysterious identity. Now, the Hall of Famer DDP has praised WWE for handling Bray Wyatt’s return and the way he is being portrayed.
While speaking on the DDP Snake Pit, he praised Wyatt and said- “I just loved the way they teased it all the way through, He is one of those creative cats who you got to hold them down, meaning Bray … He’s got all these crazy ideas and bottom line is, that’s some really good s**t man. ”
He then went on to praise Wyatt’s character presentation at The Extreme Rules. He said that presenting The Firefly Funhouse characters was a wise move as it created the perfect build up for the scenario and just when everyone thought that they were not going to see it, the lights went out and the door opened, the door opened to Wyatt’s new journey in WWE.
Speaking on how the character should fare ahead in the company, DDP pointed out a very important aspect to be looked upon. He said that he always wanted Bray Wyatt to be the “Next Taker” (The Undertaker) and said that the company got his presentation right in the beginning.
But then started to fizzle out but then again picked it up with the character of The Fiend but eventually released him when they got no plans for him. The Hall of Famer also said that he was worried if AEW President Tony Khan would pick Wyatt up, but thankfully he returned to WWE.
But he pointed out that it would be a great challenge for the company to present him as a heel as since his return he has got a great response from the crowd which is leading towards a babyface run.
