“I have something to prove,” current Champion wants a match against Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is the most successful women in the entire history of WWE. She currently holds the Smackdown Women’s Champion and is in her 13th reign as a Champion. There is no other women in the company who has won as many titles. In fact, among her male counterparts there are only four other Superstars – John Cena, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Triple H, who’ve won more titles than her.
For a major part of her career, Flair has played the role of a Heel with her “Queen” gimmick. While she has played the role perfectly, in fact, she has been a such a convincing heel that the fans often direct their hate for the character towards her! Recently, she has maintained her persona as a “Queen” but has started calling herself “The Opportunity”.
Charlotte Flair claims herself to be the opportunity which the other Superstars need to shine. Her character believes when a Superstar feuds with her, they receive a lot of eyeballs, as they get to be regular main-eventers. Some recent comments by a current Champion suggests that Flair’s claim might be true after all!
WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke recently appeared for an interview with Matthew Connell of Alternative Sport. Flair and Brooke are the only two Champions who would be entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match. During the interview, Brooke was asked which title she would be going after, if she won the Rumble.
“Honestly, Charlotte Flair. I feel as though Charlotte and our business is not done yet. I started my career with Charlotte tagging being her protege. So I feel like I have something to prove and be like ‘Look, you’ve done all this in me before. Now I can stand face to face you and say, You know, I can do this. You’ve motivated me. I haven’t got a chance to show you what I’m capable of ,and I definitely would absolutely love to stand face to face with her,” mentioned the 24/7 Champion.
Charlotte Flair is in search for a new challenger
The Smackdown Women’s Champion will be entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year. She is aiming to win the Rumble and go on to become a Double Champion at Wrestlemania 38. Interestingly, Royal Rumble not only focusses on the winner, but we also get to see some new feuds kick off during the battle royal.
Recently, Charlotte Flair appeared in a segment with WWE Hall of Famer Lita. This could be a way of teasing a possible feud between the two, leading to a match at Wrestlemania. Reportedly, Lita is returning for a longer run with the company and going after the Smackdown title could be the perfect move for her.
