Lana reveals which Superstar deserves to be Smackdown Women’s Champion
CJ Perry
Lana is a professional wrestler who is also an actress, dancer, model and a singer. Born as Catherine Joy Perry, she earned her ring name when she signed with WWE in 2013. While she was not consistently seen as an in-ring performer, the multi-talented professional also played the role of an on-screen manager on WWE.
In 2013, Perry kicked off her career on WWE in an on-screen managerial role – and was associated with former WWE United States Champion Rusev (currently part of the All Elite Wrestling roster, under the name Miro). She started performing in an on-screen capacity since in 2016. In recent years, she had some memorable feuds against the likes of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. She was released from the company in 2021.
Primarily, she had performed in the Women’s Tag Team division – and teamed up with stars like Naomi and Asuka. Unfortunately, Lana failed to capture any WWE title throughout her run with the company. But she recently revealed which Superstar she wants to become the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
The title is currently held by Charlotte Flair, who is looking for a new Challenger. One of the Superstars who recently stepped up to challenge her was Lana’s former Tag Team partner Naomi – and she feels that Naomi should win the title.
“Naomi is more then deserving to face Charlotte for the #SmackDown championship! I want to see gold around Naomi waist !!!!!!!” – tweetedLana.
