“Forever keep in my heart,” former Superstar’s heartfelt message for Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks is one of the most popular Superstars in the professional wrestling industry today. She is a part of the “Four Horsewomen” of WWE – along with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley. Since being signed by WWE in 2012, Banks has won the NXT and the Smackdown Women’s Championship once each and the Raw Women’s Championship match five times!

But 2021 wasn’t quite the blockbuster year for The Boss. She had kicked off the year as the Smackdown Women’s Champion, but ended up losing the title to Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania 37. Since then she has been trying to win the title back, but her injuries have been keeping her out of action.

Earlier this year, Sasha Banks was teased for a feud against the current Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. But during a live event match, she sustained an injury and was out for a couple of weeks. She was back in action at the Royal Rumble, where she was the No.1 entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

At the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Sasha Banks was the first entrant and was followed by former three-time WWE Women’s Champion Melina – who was one of the surprise entrants of the match. Banks eliminated Melina in 53 seconds – but that was enough for the former WWE Superstar. She recently took to Instagram to wish for a match against Banks.

“I wish that moment with Sasha was a singles match. To think if we were able to get a reaction like we did that night without wrestling… Can you imagine what we could do if we actually wrestled?!!! I can wish for a match with you with all my heart and it may never happen, but whether it was 5 seconds, 60 seconds or 20 minutes in the ring with you Sasha, I’m grateful for that magic moment at the Rumble no matter how short. I will forever keep that in my heart.” – reads a part of the post.

Sasha Banks might not be in a Championship match for some time

Sasha Banks is a multi-time Champion and is inarguably one of the biggest performers for the company. But it seems like she wont be getting a Championship match at the WWE’s biggest event this year – Wrestlemania 38. The Smackdown Women’s Championship match has already been announced for Mania between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

On the other hand, the Raw Women’s Championship match is yet to be announced for Mania. But with Banks being a part of the Blue brand, it is quite unlikely that she has any chance of getting into the match. Considering she had main-evented the match last year, the company might’ve decided to give the opportunity to other Superstars this year.
