Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair
WWE’s tour of Mexico has been completed, with two house shows being held in their prominent cities. Their first day in Mexico City saw them hold a WWE Meet and Greet session before their show. Where a set of fan-favorite wrestlers like Charlotte Flair and Cody Rhodes were present with the hometown boy Santos Escobar. While the LWO member showed his wholeheartedness upon personally greeting him and making him feel comfortable.
Among the star-studded line-up at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Santos Escobar stole the spotlight of the meet-and-greet session. When a young fan seated behind the barricades was seen overwhelmed and crying in front of the stars. Santos did not hesitate to comfort the kid as he brought him to ringside and chatted with him as he sat on the apron. The little kid wore a Rey Mysterio T-shirt and held a WWE Championship replica around his waist.
Escobar talked with the kid in the Mexican language, which was barely understood by the other stars present there. But the heartfelt conversation was felt by the viewers and made Santos an instant favorite for the crowd out there. As Charlotte Flair also sat beside the kid, she tried comforting him in the beginning, pulled his cheeks, and wiped his tears later during the conversation.
The Supershow of that night saw the LWO member square off against Austin Theory in a title match. While Theory was successful in defending the United States Championship at the house show, his pinfall victory came as a result of his heel tactics overpowering the Mexican superstar. But as he has escaped the wrath of LWO in Mexico City, he will surely face either of the faction’s members, Rey Mysterio or Escobar, at SummerSlam. You can watch the video here:
