Jey Uso is one of the most beloved superstars in WWE today. His rise towards the main event and popularity started when he went against The Bloodline and his brother, Jimmy Uso. Jey is a top singles star, as he is constantly in the main event scene in singles competitions. Now he has set his sights on a dominant champion.
After failing to defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Jey isn’t dejected. Instead, he has set eyes on a different prize. In an interview with The Ringer, Jey Uso spoke about winning the IC title as No.1 on his priority list. He further added that everybody in the family has held that title and built a legacy; now it’s his time to do it.
I want my first one. It ain’t even the big one. I want that IC title. My dad held it, and Umaga held it. Shawn Michaels and all the greats, man. I want that. Gunther's going to have to damn run that.Jey Uso via The Ringer
Jey Uso is high on confidence after winning the WarGames match at Survivor Series with Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, and returning Randy Orton. Now he has set his sights on The Ringgeneral Gunther, arguably the best champion on the roster. Gunther has yet to be pinned on the main roster. Jey will have to break his undefeated streak to become the I.C. Champion.
As of now, Gunther and Jey’s paths haven’t crossed yet on live TV. Gunther is continuing his rivalry against The Miz. Moreover, Jey Uso will battle his friend Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title next week on Raw. It will be interesting to see what transpires, as Jey will have the opportunity to become the World Heavyweight Champion first instead of the I.C. Champion.
Jey Uso and Randy Orton finally put their differences aside after the win
It looks like Jey Uso and Randy Orton have become allies after he assured The Viper that he is a changed man now. Nonetheless, he said he is out of the Bloodline business and now has nothing to do with them.
The 38-year-old was one of the main reasons why Randy Orton faced a career-threatening injury and was out for almost 2 years. Earlier, when Orton was addressing the WWE Universe on Raw, he said he would take out each and every member of the Bloodline. Jey promised him he would not be part of Bloodline anymore and is trying to make things better here on Raw. Randy accepted his apology, much to all the fans’ surprise.
Although it looked like Orton had forgiven Jey, fans still doubt that Orton might betray the former Bloodline member and RKO him soon enough. It will be interesting to see whether Orton has truly forgiven Jey or if The Viper is just playing mind games.
