Tonight on SmackDown, it is make or break for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. They’ll take on Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the Women’s Tag Team titles. The champions have been on a roll ever since upsetting Chelsea Green and Piper Niven a few weeks ago on Raw. With that in the rearview mirror, the incumbent title holders will look to avoid any sort of catastrophe tonight.

One half of their challengers, Alba Fyre, took to X and had a simple five-word message. She asserted that the unholy era will begin as soon as tonight. Both Fyre and Dawn burst on the scene last year in May. Back then, they were the reigning NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Following a resounding in-ring debut on the blue brand, their journey was halted by the duo of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

However, in what could be perceived as Triple H‘s vision to stage a renaissance for The Unholy Union, they have a massive opportunity tonight. Before joining the main roster, Alba Fyre, fka Kay Lee Ray, was the longest reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion. The duo hails from Scotland and has the potential to leave an indelible mark.

Meanwhile, the flamboyant team of Carter and Chance has been off to a dream start. It would be very interesting to see if WWE lets Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn steal a march over their counterparts. The fans have not been shy about repudiating WWE’s lackluster way of using women’s doubles gold. They would hope to find a silver lining sooner rather than later.

What else the fans can expect from SmackDown?

Apart from the high-stakes title match mentioned above, tonight’s SmackDown is stacked. It will be headlined by a contract signing between Roman Reigns and his Royal Rumble opponents. The Tribal Chief finds his back against the wall with names like Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight looking to put an exclamation mark on Reigns’ title monopoly.

Kevin Owens will also welcome United States Champion Logan Paul on his talk show, as the two prepare for their title match in just over a week’s time. Following last week’s return of Carlito, a six-man tag team match has also been announced.

It would see the Caribbean Cool joining forces with Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde to battle Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo. It looks like the fans are in for a great show that’s slated to emanate from a sold-out State Farm Arena in Georgia.
