“I did not like it”; Alexa Bliss reveals what she DISDAINED about her WWE presentation initially

Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss is one of the most charming and impactful superstars in WWE today. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio The Goddess of WWE have come a long way up the ranks on the roster just by her phenomenal character work and flawless in-ring technicalities. Apart from being a dominant Raw Women’s Champion, she has won the Women’s Tag-Team Titles with Nikki Cross (now Nikki A.S.H).

The last two years in WWE have been a kind of rollercoaster ride for Bliss as she played a supernatural character when she was aligned with The Fiend Bray Wyatt until he got eventually released. Alexa had to dress up weirdly carrying a doll with herself and act like a wicked dark character which quite to an extent received tons of criticism from the viewers as these kind of stuff don’t work that well in the modern generation.

As soon as Wyatt was released, WWE eventually dropped that spooky gimmick with Alexa Bliss and tried to slowly turn her back to normal once again where she was seen taking various therapy sessions in backstage segments on Monday Night Raw. Then for a prolonged period of time, Bliss got disappeared from television without any explanation being given for that. After spending months away from WWE, she finally made her return earlier this year in May defeating Sonya Deville.

There are a ton of good things you might point out in Alexa Bliss then be it her athleticism, the promo delivering skills or making the feud feel more important wherever she gets inserted into all by due course of her reflecting charisma. However, Alexa recently revealed during an interview that when WWE initially came up with the name Alexa Bliss for herself, she didn’t liked that at all. Although, her NXT trainer was fine with that and said if she makes it big upto WWE’s main-roster, everything would get sorted out. Today, she proudly calls herself by the name it has given a true identify to herself.

“At first, I did not like it, but my coach at the time in NXT said he liked it. When I got the list of names that were legally cleared, there were a bunch of names and my coach came up with Alexa Bliss. He also said that I could change and they would probably change it if I made it to the main roster, but it has actually become a nice little pun. But it has really grown on me and it looks really cool on a tee shirt. As I said, I wasn’t a big fan of the name when I first got it, but now it is a part of me and a part of my identity. It also makes for a lot of good dad jokes which is great.”
