In a shocking turn of events, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a surprise return on WWE Raw Day 1. However, it appears not everyone is thrilled about the Brahma Bull’s unexpected comeback. SmackDown star Austin Theory has shared his thoughts on Dwayne’s electrifying return.
The pair’s first on-screen interaction took place almost five months ago, on a Smackdown episode. Theory found himself in a heated exchange with Pat McAfee. The situation escalated when The Rock made an unexpected appearance, delivering Theory with the iconic People’s Elbow.
As a result, the former US Champion expressed his discontent with the People Champion’s recent extended promo. The Rock reportedly went over the scheduled seven-minute mark, prompting Theory to comment. The latter believed that nobody was ‘man enough’ to call him out. Furthermore, the 26-year-old star claimed that the same situation didn’t happen on SmackDown.

As the wrestling world buzzes with excitement over the former WWE Champion’s return, it seems the surprise comeback has sparked some tension within the SmackDown roster. The unfolding drama between Theory and The Rock adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing narrative in WWE.
The Rock teases showdown with Roman Reigns: Could it happen at Elimination Chamber 2024?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s surprise return to WWE Raw Day 1 has fueled speculations of a potential clash with Roman Reigns. During the appearance, the Great One playfully teased a match with Reigns, asking the WWE Universe in San Diego if he should sit at the booth, the bar, or the ‘Head of the Table.’ Reigns responded with a laughing-crying emoji.
Rumors are now circulating that the much-anticipated Rock vs. Reigns showdown might take place sooner than expected. Many suggest that if The Rock accepts WWE’s offer, the match could happen at Elimination Chamber in Optus Stadium, Perth, Australia.
During Christmas, Australian tourism officials posted queries about WWE’s deal, with speculation centered around the possible appearance of The Rock at Elimination Chamber 2024. The West Australian News had previously reported in mid-2023 that the legend might wrestle in Perth. Therefore, this had added to the excitement surrounding this potential blockbuster match.
