Belief that WWE Hall of Famer will give his all in a rivalry against Austin Theory
Austin Theory's second run as the US Champion is certainly the best of his career. According to a former WWE writer, a WWE Hall of Famer will give his all in a feud with Theory.

Austin Theory is set to defend his United States Championship against Bobby Lashley on the 30th anniversary episode of RAW. The United States Champion looks to be in great form since his MITB contract loss in November. The WWE Universe didn’t look at Theory as championship material, but since his MITB contract loss, he has proven himself.
Theory’s new avatar and his recent performances definitely show that he can certainly be a main eventer in the future. Austin Theory, being Vince McMahon’s favorite, has been pushed in the company since his main roster debut. Vince McMahon’s prodigy is seen by the company as the next John Cena.
Austin Theory is also rumored to face John Cena at WrestleMania 39. Both were expected to face off at SummerSlam last year, but the fight never happened.The fight has been long planned, and fans hope that it takes place on the grandest stage of all.
With talk of a feud between Austin Theory and John Cena circulating, former WWE writer Vince Russo believes that WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac should be pitted against Theory. Russo feels that X-Pac is a committed wrestler and is in his best shape, so he will definitely give 100% if he is considered.
“And bro, a guy like Sean Waltman, you know he’s gonna commit to it. He’s gonna be in the best physical shape he can possibly be in.…. Even if they could get something between now and the Rumble, they gotta get something going on, bro!”

Austin Theory was sure that his match against John Cena would happen
Last year, during an interview with Shak Wrestling, Austin Theory stated that he is confident that he will face John Cena. He expressed a strong desire to face the Cenation Leader. Theory then shared a story of the day he met Cena at the performance centre.
Austin Theory stated that he has been drawn to Cena’s personality since he was young. According to Theory, Cena told him that if one develops a charisma that appeals to the public, the audience would undoubtedly connect with their performance.
“You know what, I will say that I’m pretty confident that that could happen, for sure. And I want it to happen. It’s so weird to meet somebody and pretty much have to explain to them, I modeled my whole life after you. It’s one of those things as a kid getting bullied……Nobody will connect to your performance unless they connect to your personality.”
Austin Theory won the US Championship at the Survivor Series WarGames. This is his second reign as the US Champion. It’s been a long time now that Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins have been involved in the US Championship scenario. Fans hope to see Theory engage in a rivalry with someone else. The WWE Universe expects that Theory’s title defense on RAW 30 will put an end to his rivalry against Lashley.
