WWE has officially announced the return of John Cena in a couple of weeks. The 16-time World champion will be on the March 6th edition of Monday Night Raw, held in his home state of Massachusetts. While the WWE Universe is buzzing with the announcement, Austin Theory has shown his displeasure with the leader of Cenation.

The Now of WWE had a match against Edge on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, defending his United States title. On the show, the champion accused John Cena of stealing his spotlight in a backstage interview before his match. As Austin Theory came out victorious in the main event, he continued to tease a confrontation with the Hollywood star in another Digital Exclusive interview.

Austin Theory said, “The headlines now they certainly read Austin Theory is the now and the forever of the WWE. And that little John Cena thing, two weeks away, Monday night Raw, John Cena, I can’t wait for that. Because I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday Night Raw. You want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. The now. Remember that.”

This will be John Cena’s first appearance in the WWE this year. The Champ was last seen competing in a tag team match on Friday Night SmackDown on December 30th. The match between Cena and Theory seems to have been in the works for a few months now. If all goes according to plan, the two superstars will compete for the US championship at WrestleMania in Hollywood.

It was Austin Theory’s biggest challenge yet as he defended his United States title against WWE Hall of Famer Edge on Raw. The match came about when the Rated R Superstar accepted the open challenge set out by the Champion at the post-Elimination Chamber press conference. Edge had the upper hand in the match before his rivals from Judgment Day came out to ambush him.

Edge tried to fight back, but in the end, the numbers were too much against him. Theory took advantage of the distraction and hit his opponent with the A-Town Down for the pin. After the match, Finn Balor continued the assault on Rated R Superstar, hitting him with the Coup de Grace to end the show.

Theory ignored all of this interference in his post-match interview, taking all the credit for beating Edge. The 25-year-old superstar is gaining momentum as he prepares for the biggest match of his career against John Cena. As WrestleMania inches closer, the probable match between the two seems more likely than ever.
