Next to Roman Reigns, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has something on her shoulders that many women dream of having, but very few can dare to go after. Speaking of that, one woman who has promulgated that she’s coming after Mami is the Damage CTRL member, Bayley. Last night on SmackDown, The Role Model declared herself for the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Not only that, she stood alongside her Damage CTRL comrades and manifested for a memorable year ahead. With Iyo Sky already at the acme of the food chain, Bayley affirmed that Asuka and Kairi Sane, known as the Kabuki Warriors, are coming for those Women’s Tag Team titles. That only leaves Bayley herself, and she talked a big game by claiming to dethrone Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.

After making the announcement, Bayley became the first woman to officially ply her trade for the Royal Rumble. Even though the past few weeks have been topsy-turvy for Bayley, she doesn’t seem to back down.

Thus far, the former Hugger has never outdone 29 other women in that highly competitive field at the Royal Rumble. Next month in St. Petersburg, she has a golden opportunity to etch her name in the record books and finally discover a silver lining in her drowning reputation.

If she does win next year’s Royal Rumble match, Bayley might have a go at Rhea Ripley, as she made it clear on SmackDown. It would be a fresh matchup to begin with, and The Eradicator couldn’t wish for a better counterpart than Bayley. The two women have not crossed each other’s paths in a while, and it would be interesting if they have a showdown soon.
